About the Polysomnographic Technology Department

The Polysomnographic Technology program has been developed by Highline Community College, together with Edmonds Community College, Tacoma Community College and Olympic College.

  • The program department is located at Highline Community College.
     

  • Student apply to the program through Highline Community College. Application for the program can be obtained from the Admissions/Entry Services representatives on the Highline Community College campus in building 6. Interested applicants can also print an application for the program off this website. 

  • Debra Lumpkin, program director of polysomnographic curriculum and director of clinical education is available by email at: dlumpkin@highline.edu.

  • Nicki Bly, program coordinator, is located in Building 26, room 219 C. Email address is:  nbly@highline.edu

     

  • Read an article published in the Auburn Reporter about "Highline health care programs unveil cutting-edge technology" with specific reference to the Polysomnography Technology program.

Accreditation:

Accreditation is available for Polysomnograhpic Technology programs.  This is a fairly new accreditation and the program at Highline Community College is currently getting ready to start the process.  The program is not currently accredited.

Accreditation is granted by the Committee on Accreditation for Polysomnographic Technologist Education.

There are two ways that you can be trained to be a Polysomnographic Technology Technician at Highline.

  • Our 2 year A.A.S. of Polysomnographic Technology program. Learn more
  • Our Certificate of Polysomnographic Technology program. Learn more

Attend an information session to learn more about this exciting new medical field.

Sessions are held at Highline Community College in building 26, room 219.
